About the piece

We wheel-throw this plate from stoneware clay and shape it with a low profile, so it feels stable and grounded. Then, we finish the surface with hand-painted black lines, applied freely and intuitively, which makes each plate slightly different. As a result, the piece remains fully functional while featuring a restrained graphic expression that feels timeless and easy to combine with other tableware.

Materials & craftsmanship

We craft the plate from high-fired stoneware to ensure durability and suitability for regular use. First, we apply food-safe glazes in soft, neutral tones; consequently, the black lines stand out gently against the surface. Moreover, as with all handmade ceramic pieces, subtle variations in line placement, glaze tone and texture form part of the process and, ultimately, highlight the individuality of each plate.
